William “Bill” Peter Reilly, 81, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.
A 40+ year employee of The Star Ledger, Bill was an Army veteran and an avid sports fan (especially when his kids and grandkids were playing) who loved visiting Atlantic City to see shows and play Black Jack.
Above all else, he was a devoted family man.
Beloved husband of Jacqueline “Jackie” Reilly for 47 years. Devoted father of Vinny (Bylena Barrett) Byron, Jackie (Larry) Canales, Michelle (Dickie) Cunningham, Tim (Nancy) Byron, and Billy (Jen) Reilly. Cherished grandfather of Lyndsay, Brett, Larry, Lauren, Michael, Matthew, DJ, Traci, Casey, Tim, Liam, and Connor. Proud great-grandfather of Gi, Cameron, Kinsley, Vincent, and Anthony. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
William is pre-deceased by his parents Terrance & Louise, and his siblings; George, Terry, Helen, Maureen, Greta and Pat.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday from 3-6pm. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and capacity limitations, visitors are asked to pay their respects and then kindly exit in order for others to enter the building. Masks are required and all are to practice social distancing.
The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, 10am at Holy Family Church in Florham Park, followed by a private entombment. For those who wish to attend virtually, the funeral mass can be viewed on the church’s live mass feed www.holyfamilyfp.org :at 10am on Saturday.
