Thomas F Jaworski

Tom Jaworski, 83, of Morristown, passed away on July 28, 2022, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Described by friends and family throughout his life as a “true gentleman,” Tom influenced everyone he knew by his words, deeds or example.  He always had a story, some well thought out guidance or a friendly hors d’oeuvre or cocktail to help you through the day. 

He was a devoted husband and loving father first and foremost.  His journey of 83 years was full of many highlights and accomplishments.  But he always considered his family his greatest achievement.  He was a revered grandfather and a favorite uncle to many.

Born in Brooklyn, the humble son of proud Polish immigrants.  He was one of the original “techies” before it was cool.  He excelled at Brooklyn Tech High School and Manhattan College and eventually became an Electrical Engineer and Project manager at Grumman Aerospace in the 80’s and 90’s serving key roles in the company’s success and supporting our nation’s naval defense.

He was a man of many hobbies.  He skied the mountains of Vermont before there were highways to take you there. He sailed the waters of the Long Island Sound with his sons and pals before there was any kind of electronic navigation to get you home.  He could cook any dish in his kitchen.  He could build or fix anything in his workshop or garage.  And he was a walking automotive encyclopedia.

His warming presence and guidance will be sorely missed by all.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Jean Jaworski.  Devoted father of John Jaworski, his wife Jeanette, Eric Jaworski and his wife Stefanie.  Cherished grandfather of Noelle, Thomas & Daniel Jaworski, Justin & Olivia Jaworski.

Tom was pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Mary Jaworski. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Sunday from 2-6pm.  Funeral on Monday assembling at the funeral home at 9am followed by the funeral mass at Assumption Church in Morristown at 10am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
