Thomas Cicalese Obituary

Thomas P. Cicalese, 79, of Bernardsville, formerly of Millburn, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on March 20, 2021.

Tom started his career in Law Enforcement as a Maplewood Police Officer. He then went on to be an honored Lieutenant at the Essex County Prosecutor's Office for many years. Tom took pride in his work as a detective. He was a proud husband, father, and Poppop. Everyone who met Tom felt welcomed by his kind, funny, and confident disposition. Tom was dedicated to protecting and loving his daughter, Tracy. Tom adored every second he spent with his wife, Barbara, whether it was traveling to Las Vegas, Ireland, or spending a night at home making meatballs and drinking cosmos. Tom also never passed up a chance to brag about his grandchildren, who he loved so very much. Tom was a loyal friend to many and valued those long lasting relationships.

Beloved husband of 21 years to Barbara A. (Ragone) Cicalese. Devoted father of Tracy Ferrara and her husband David. Cherished Poppop of Brittany and Brandon Ferrara. Dear brother of Ralph Cicalese and his wife Barbara.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Thomas is pre-deceased by his parents Ralph & Louise Cicalese and his brother Salvatore Cicalese.
