Theresa L Turck

Theresa L. Turck (Leonardis) 90, formerly of the Vailsburg neighborhood in Newark and South Orange, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2022.

Terry, Grandma Terry, and Aunt Ter as she was referred to by so many had a big heart and connected with people of all ages.  She was warm hearted and  had a great sense of humor which led to many fun and memorable times for all.

She volunteered as a substitute teacher at Our Lady Of Sorrows School, spent several years at Lord and Taylor, and finished her working career at Zales Jewelery Store. She enjoyed reading, especially Danielle Steel novels, crocheting, playing cards (poker) and watching the Yankees and Giants.

Devoted mother of Chuck, his wife Enza, and Robert. Cherished grandmother of Gabriella, Jacqueline, Michael, and Cristalia. Also survived by her niece and two nephews.

Theresa will be reunited with her parents Charles and Mamie Leonardis, and her sister Florence Salerno.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-7pm.  Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 10am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
