Theresa Barbieri

Theresa Barbieri (Osinski), 88, Bayonne resident for over 70 years, passed away on January 16, 2021.  She was born to parents Helen and John Osinski, on 10/16/1932 in Bayonne, New Jersey.           

She enjoyed Volunteering for the American Cancer Society, was a talented artist, loved reading, traveling in her day, and going on her Christian retreats. In the 80's ,Theresa  was honored with multiple “Volunteer of the Year”, from the American Cancer Society, for Her dedication and compassion throughout the years with helping those in need. Despite her large family Theresa always made time for everyone. She always had a big heart from taking in foster children, feeding the hungry or helping in any way possible. We have several members of our family that would say "she was like a mom to me".           

Theresa met her husband Anthony, and they were married on April 14th, 1956 in Bayonne, NJ. Together they raised 8 children: David, Billy and his wife Kelly, Roy and his wife Cindy Joni, Gerry, Gary, Anthony and his girlfriend Robin, Maria and her husband Isaac.  Theresa is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.     

She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Barbieri, her daughter Joni D'Amico, and her siblings Helen Antczak & John Osinski.

A committal prayer service and burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 19th at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
