Theodore “Ted” Knauss, 88, formerly of Verona and West Orange, passed away on April 14, 2020. Ted was a US Air Force Veteran during the Korean Conflict and worked for many years as a High School English Teacher, Spending most of his career at East Orange High School. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family, making up nicknames for family and friends, reading the works of his favorite author, F. Scott Fitzgerald, telling stories about his Air Force escapades, and rooting for his beloved Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and the NBA.
Beloved husband of 50 years to the late Rose Knauss. Devoted father of Tom Knauss, his wife Veronica, Ted “Striker” Knauss, and his wife Kim. Loving grandfather of Michael, Carly, and Nicholas. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Ted is pre-deceased by his siblings Frederick Knauss, Louise McCabe, Gertrude Kides, and Edward Knauss.
