Stephen Orgel

Stephen Orgel, 90, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. 

Beloved husband of 69 years to Lois (Friberg) Orgel.  Devoted father of Joseph Orgel, his wife Karen, Robert Orgel, Paul Orgel, his wife Dania Rodriguez, Therese Tomaro and her husband Biagio.  Cherished grandfather of Justin, his wife Angela, Jared, his wife Denise, Isabella, Phillip, his wife Katerina, Nicholas and Matthew.  Proud great-grandfather of Joseph, Luke, Madeline, Jake, Jackson, Audriana and Emma.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Stephen was pre-deceased by his parents Paul and Charlotte, and his brothers Leonard and Seymour. 

Stephen met his beloved Lois as children in New York City. Stephen grew up a Brooklyn Dodgers fan and later became a Mets fan. Never the Yankees! Stephen and Lois were great travelers once Stephen retired with Italy being one of their favorite places. The two of them were movie buffs. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday, March 27th from 9-11am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11:30am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
