Sheila Ann Williams

Sheila Ann (Ryan) Williams, 60, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on September 17, 2022.

Born and raised in Maplewood, Sheila was the oldest of 6 children. She graduated from Columbia High School and received a degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth. With a love of traveling, Sheila’s family accompanied her on many cruises, and trips; the most special being a trip to Ireland to see her mother’s birthplace, was an experience not to be soon forgotten. Her crumb cake was a favorite amongst her family and friends, as she was well known for her excellent baking.

Sheila was employed in a number of organizations, but she was happiest in her position as the Florham Park Borough Clerk. There she was able to realize her dream of serving the community in which she and her family call home. Throughout her demanding career Sheila managed to extend herself to everyone in the Florham Park community as their trusted town clerk and as a friend to all who needed her.

Sheila’s family was her pride and joy; her husband Andrew and children Tara and Timothy were beloved as were her siblings. She took great joy in spoiling her nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. On the beach with a good book and her family all around was where Sheila was at her happiest.

Beloved wife of 38 years to Andrew W. Williams.  Devoted mother of Tara Kathleen Williams and Timothy P. Williams.  Dear sister of Kathleen, Marianne, Eileen, Vincent and Lori.  She was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. 

Sheila was pre-deceased by her parents Vincent and Kathleen Ryan. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-7pm.  The funeral on Thursday will be held privately to the family.
