Rosina “Terry” Aulisi, 97, passed away peacefully at her home on February 13, 2021.
Rosina was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She also lived in Florham Park, NJ and lastly, in Brick, NJ. She worked at Academy Die Casting and Plating Co., Newark, NJ and then Edison, NJ for over 30 years. She lived with and cared for her Mother, Anna, until she passed away at 90 years old. She spent her last 20 years living with her brother Sonny and his wife Joni.
Rosina was a devout Roman Catholic, watching mass daily on tv and reciting the rosary daily. She enjoyed traveling, attending the Opera, listening to Neapolitan Italian music, was a veracious reader, and loved old movies, her favorite being “An Affair to Remember”.
She answered to many names including Zi Zi, Di Di, aunt Di Di, Rose, Terry, Anen, Rosina, Rosinella, and by some, Chiefy.
Most of all, she loved her family. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Everyone had their favorite dishes, especially her Chicken Murphy, cream puffs and cheesecake. They were always made with love. She adored her nieces and nephews. She always remembered everyone’s birthday with a timely card and generous gift. She was very stylish and enjoyed shopping for herself and for gifts for others.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Anna (Alifano) Aulisi, and 2 brothers, Joseph and Italo.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Evelyn (Albright) and Clelia (Brackin), and 2 brothers, Guido (Sonny) and Alexander . She is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, and many great and great, great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Saturday, February 20th from 9-10:30am. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic capacity limitations, visitors are asked to pay their respects and then kindly exit, to allow others to be able to enter the building. Masks are required and social distancing is to be practiced whenever possible.
The funeral mass to follow will be held at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 11am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
