Rose E. De Feo (Caputo), 94, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023.
Rose moved to East Hanover from Orange in the 1950’s with her husband Sam where they continued to live their lives together and raise their family.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community of East Hanover.
Rose was a dedicated employee of the East Hanover Board of Education, serving as a cafeteria aide from 1972 to 2005 at Frank J. Smith School.
She was an active member in East Hanover’s DARE program and served on the Morris County election board services.
Rose enjoyed singing in the St. Rose of Lima Church choir and was an avid bowler.
Rose was very loved by her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and will forever hold a place in our hearts.
Devoted mother of Michele Zinicola, her husband Mario, Patrice Ianco, her husband Anthony, Brenda De Feo, her husband John McInerney, Wendy De Feo and her husband Keith Thompson. Cherished grandmother of Matthew Ianco, his wife Nicole, Justin George, his wife Alexandra, Kristin Yaeger, her husband Scott, and Mario Zinicola. Dear sister of Peter Caputo and his wife Arlene. Also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rose was pre-deceased by her husband Samuel F. De Feo, her parents Peter and Rose Caputo, her brother Joseph Caputo and his wife Helen.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Monday from 3-6pm. Funeral on Tuesday, assembling at the funeral home at 9am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
