Ronald G. Piskorik, 77, of Florham Park passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024.
Ron was born in Kingston, PA to Peter and Anna (Kosch). He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Virginia Karmilowicz, and his wife of 43 years, Hazel Govan. Ron and Hazel worked together as research chemists until their retirement and were long time residents of Chatham, NJ.
Ron graduated from Wilkes College where he excelled at tennis. Ron is a scholarship benefactor at the university. He was drafted into the US Army and served two years in Vietnam as a Chemical Staff Specialist for the 82nd Airborne Division, receiving several medals including an Expert Rifle and 5 Air medals, one with Valor, earning him a Meritorious Service Medal.
Ron enjoyed life with Hazel traveling, gardening and photography. And they adored their fur-babies Salem, Tug, and others. Ron loved the challenge of playing on-line golf and the comradery with his golfing buddies.
Ronald leaves behind his dear brother Daniel of Marble Falls, Texas, his cousin and friend Rose Cichy of Forty Fort, PA, and several loving nieces and nephews.
Ron supported several causes and would have appreciated donations be made to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
Funeral arrangements were held privately.
