Rodney “Butch” Ridolfo, 77, of Montville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 26, 2022.
Rod was born and raised in Newark NJ. Upon graduating high school he enrolled in beauty school and quickly found great success as a talented hairdresser. In 1960, in walks a pretty girl named Louise into the wrong salon, He started styling her hair and every Saturday she became his last appointment. They quickly fell in love and in October of 1965 they married. Shortly after, Rod was drafted into the US Army in 1966 and heroically fought for our freedom in The Vietnam War. In 1967, after honorable discharge, he and Louise had 2 children and eventually settled in Montville NJ. Rod successfully owned and operated Hair Visions in Parsippany NJ for 40 years. Born a leader, entrepreneurship came very natural to Rod. Subsequently, throughout his life he ran several successful businesses. Family was always the most important thing to him and the greatest joy in his world were his children and grandchildren.
Beloved husband of 56 years to Louise Ridolfo. Devoted father of Rod T. Ridolfo, his wife Jen, Dana Tichio and her husband Dan. Cherished grandfather of Luke T. Ridolfo, Isabella Rose and Nicholas Tichio. Dear brother of Rosalie Cohen and Dr. Bruce T. Ridolfo. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Rodney was pre-deceased by his parents Natale and Nancy Ridolfo.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-7pm. Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 10am followed by the committal prayers and entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum at 11am.
