Robert L., (Bobby) & Gemma V. Ricciardi, of Convent Station, passed away after more than 60 years of marriage. Bobby, age 87 and Gemma, age 85 passed away on August 5, 2022. Our family is deeply saddened to lose these two beautiful souls, but know they are together during the greatest journey there is with God.
Bobby was born on July 24, 1935, to the late Joseph and Theresa Ricciardi, and Gemma was born on September 21, 1936, to the late Enes and Albert Pascucci. Bobby was the executive Vice President of Ricciardi Brothers. He and his brother Walter helped expand the enterprise to 47 locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, which was started by their father in 1929.
Bobby and Gemma grew up in Newark, New Jersey where they met and later fell in love. Bobby attended Barringer High School and Gemma attended West Side High School in Newark. Bobby enjoyed attending NY Giants football games, working on classic cars, and driving race cars. He was a member of the Ferrari Club of North America for 40 years, an Army Infantry Veteran, and a member of the Morris Museum Board of Trustees. A lifetime member of The 200 Club Morris County. They loved traveling, spending time with their family, friends, and their only child, Robert Jr. Gemma was on the committee of the Morristown Welcome Wagon. She, like Bobby, was also a member of the Ferrari Club of North America. She loved to cook gourmet dishes, had an affinity for fashion and clothing, loved to entertain her family and friends at their home and had a strong passion for home decorating.
They are survived by their son Robert Ricciardi, Jr, and many family members and friends.
A joint memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas More Church in Morristown on Saturday, August 27th at 10:30 am, followed by the entombment at Holy Rood Cemetery in Morristown.
