Robert M. Vrablik, age 22, of Florham Park, NJ, passed away tragically and unexpectedly following a skiing accident on March 9, 2019.
Rob was born March 29, 1996. He was the beloved son of Dr. Robert H. Vrablik and Jean M. (Comiskey) Vrablik and cherished younger brother of Dr. Lauren S. Vrablik. Rob is also survived by his many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends, and his girlfriend Melanie Buckley.
Those who knew Rob, no matter how briefly, have lost a shining light in their lives. Rob embodied endless goodness and capacity to bring happiness to others. He was a kind, charismatic, exuberant, and amazing young man. Words cannot express the depth of the loss we are feeling.
Rob will be dearly remembered for constantly bringing laughter to those around him. His broad and generous smile warmed the hearts of all who knew him. He was a true and loyal friend, who always put others before himself. His greatest loves in life were God, Family, and Country.
Rob dedicated himself to serving the community around him. He attended Seton Hall Preparatory School, where he competed on their Rifle, Track and Football Teams. In May of 2018, he graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, with his Bachelors in Criminology. Rob was a leader in his Penn State community, representing his peers in leadership positions with the university’s Trap and Skeet Club and Interfraternity Council as a brother with the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He served as a volunteer firefighter with the FPFD, while actively training and applying for positions to serve his community and country as a law enforcement officer.
As an avid enthusiast of history and Penn State football, he embraced both tradition and all things new. He had boundless passion for life – always up for an adventure, a football game, or to practice shooting at the range.
We know Rob is now with his grandparents, and is loved here on earth as well as in Heaven. Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park. A Mass of Christian burial will be held: 10 AM, Holy Family Church, 35 Orchard Rd., Florham Park, on Friday, March 15, 2019. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
