Rita Marie Neglio (Giordano), 95, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 1, 2021.
Mom was an excellent cook. All our friends loved coming over to our house to eat her cooking. She was lovingly known as Cook the Zita Rita. She loved to play games, especially Yahtzee and cards. She was competitive in her game playing and 9 times out of 10 would win. She also loved her sports. She would watch her Yankees and Giants religiously. She and dad would also come to Maryland and go to the Ravens games with their daughter and enjoy the Poe Brothers tailgate before the games.
Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved when we helped decorate her tree, and she would keep it up months after Christmas so she could enjoy it that much longer. Her favorite shows were General Hospital and Judge Judy, and no one dared to call her during their air time. She so loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She will always be loved and sorely missed by her family and friends but will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Devoted mother of Maryann Suppa, her husband Salvatore, Francene Crum, her husband Dale, Thomas Neglio, his wife Lori, Mark Neglio, his fiancé Marilyn, and Michael Neglio. Dear sister of Michael Giordano, his wife Marie, Christine Spampinato and her husband Phil. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
