Richard E. Allen, 71, of Parlin, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2022.
Richard (Richie) was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Irvington by his mother the late Joan Allen and his Uncle Tom McCormick.
A long-time resident of Parlin, NJ and Navy Veteran, Richie was an adventurous soul and loved to travel and meet new people.
He truly enjoyed his job and was a dedicated employee of the Hess Corporation for over 20 years. He was always going above and beyond, navigating an 18-wheeler oil tanker daily through the streets of Manhattan.
Above all, Richie loved spending time with the love of his life, his wife Angela, and his friends and family. He had a big heart and could always be counted on for support and encouragement. His smile would light up the room and he had a contagious sense of humor. Richie had a gift of connecting with people and could easily make friends with anyone. He was a friend to all animals and rescued multiple cats that he and Angela loved dearly. Richie adored his nieces and nephews and had many cherished memories whether it was fishing at the beach, dancing at parties or making others laugh.
He leaves behind only heartwarming memories of his beloved wife of 30 years, Angela Allen; his sister Margaret Moravek, her husband John, and his brother Don Allen; his treasured nieces and nephews Michelle Theis, Valerie Giardina, John Moravek Jr., Sydne Pinelli, Donald Allen; and his adored grandnephews and many loving cousins and friends.
