Phyllis Giordano Obituary

Phyllis Giordano, 80, of East Hanover, formerly of Nutley, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026.

Phyllis cherished her family and friends and found her greatest joy in the people she loved. She was generous with both her time and her heart, always putting others before herself. Whether she was creating cherished holiday traditions, offering a comforting ear to a friend in need, or simply sharing her warm smile, she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her outgoing personality and kind spirit drew people to her, and she truly enjoyed the company of others. One of  her greatest passions was dancing, which reflected the joy and enthusiasm she carried throughout her life.

One of the greatest joys of her life was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandson. She treasured their late-night sleepovers, afternoons at the pool, trips to the library, and even simple outings to McDonald’s. These moments brought her immense happiness, and the special bond they shared will forever be cherished.

To me, she was so much more than a mother. She loved deeply and gave that love freely to everyone around her. She taught me the importance of family, the value of carrying on traditions, and the meaning of working hard for everything I achieved. Those lessons, along with her unconditional love, are gifts I will carry with me always.

Phyllis’s warmth, compassion, generosity, and joyful spirit touched the lives of so many. Though she will be deeply missed, her love lives on in the family she cherished, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless memories she leaves behind.

Devoted mother of Danielle Bojczak and her husband David.  Cherished grandmother of Christian Bojczak.  Phyllis was pre-deceased by her mother Minnie Marchigiano, her brother Michael Marchigiano and her sister Vera Dacey and was loved and cherished by many friends.
