Peter J. Melillo, Sr.

Peter J. Melillo, Sr., 84, of Parsippany, passed away peacefully at his home on October 9, 2023, with his family by his side.

Peter was the owner of Terry’s Auto Body for 50 years and Towne Auto Restoration for 15 years.  He was born in Newark, NJ.  Peter had a zest for life, playing golf, traveling, spending time at the beach, and most of all spending time with his family.  He was the epitome of a family man.

Beloved husband of Phyllis Melillo.  Devoted father of Donna Melillo, Michael Melillo, his wife Dianne, Paul Melillo and his wife Laura.  Cherished grandfather of Jamie, Gabrielle, Michael Joseph, Jake and Paige.  Dear brother of Antoinette.

Peter was pre-deceased by his son Peter, his parents Peter and Angela, his brothers Joe, Vito and Jerry, and his sisters Mary and Lucy. 

A funeral mass will be held St. Ann Church in Parsippany on Thursday, October 12th at 11:30am, followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover.  A repast will follow at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany.
