Peter "Petey" Falivene, age 77 of East Hanover, formerly of Harrison passed away Tuesday at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Peter worked for the Town of Harrison- Water Department for 30 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed his retired life with his beloved wife, always making time to attend his granddaughters games and school activities. His granddaughters were his pride and joy. His passion was his family, he worked hard and provided a great life for his wife and children. Peter was blessed to have worked with countless co-workers who became extended family of his. Peter was also lucky to have shared great memories with neighbors/friends in Harrison at his childhood home on 2nd Street and his time on Cleveland Avenue, Grant Avenue and North 5th Street.
Pete's "other" passion was football, from cheering on his beloved Giants to starring for the Blue Tide in the schools' glory years of the early 60's to coaching the youth of Harrison in the Pop Warner program alongside his brother Francis.
Peter also proudly served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Patricia (nee Calabro), sons Dominic and Gary; daughter in law Kathie Arelo, dear brother John and his wife Carol, Paul and his wife Debbie and sister in law Theresa, granddaughters Nina & Mia and numerous nieces and nephews.
