Patricia Frances Mango (nee Confroy), devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, at the Brandywine Living Community in Livingston, N.J. She was born in Newark, N.J. on January 14, 1932, and later on attended West Side High School in Newark, N.J. where she met her beloved Joe, the man who would become her husband and lifelong partner until his death in December, 2024. They married in October, 1951, and Joe was drafted into the Army shortly thereafter and served in the Korean War.
Pat and Joe lived in Newark, N.J. until 1972; they then moved to Livingston, N.J., where Pat began a nearly 20 year career at the Livingston Board of Education. In her retirement she spent her time doing the things she loved most; baking, cooking and spending time with her six grandchildren. Her kindness and gentle manner gave each of them a lasting memory of what a devoted grandmother really was, always there, in good and bad times, the one the family looked to for her strength and quiet wisdom. Capable and unassuming, Pat was a selfless, beautiful person, both inside and out, who put the needs of her family before her own. Her greatest happiness was realized in her 73 year marriage to Joe, and their love for one another became a constant source of joy for their children and grandchildren.
Pat was the proud mother of three daughters; Christine Mosley (Douglas), Claire Renga (Joseph) and Patricia Weinstein (Michael), devoted grandmother of Jonathan Goldberg, William Goldberg, Rebecca Goldberg, Daniel Goldberg (Christina), Stephanie de Zengotita (Will), and Gregory Franck (Heather). Great-grandchildren include Joseph and Nicholas de Zengotita, Vincent, Oliver and Eloise Franck. Pat is also survived by her beloved sister Kathy Confroy, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
