Patricia E. Cooper passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New York, New York, Patricia lived a life centered on faith and family. She was a devoted wife to Byron for 62 years until his death in 2018.
Patricia and Byron made their home in Westfield, New Jersey, where they raised their four children. In retirement, they enjoyed time in Toms River, New Jersey, and Naples, Florida, before later living in Charlotte, North Carolina, and eventually returning to New Jersey, where Patricia spent the final year and a half of her life. She is now reunited with Byron, completing their love story.
She is survived by her children: Edward Cooper; Kenneth Cooper and his wife Ruth; Douglas Cooper and his wife Traci; and Karen D’Addario and her husband, Robert.
She was the proud grandmother of Daniel Cooper, James Cooper and his wife Coleen, Matthew Cooper, Amanda D’Addario, Robert D’Addario, Jack D’Addario and his wife Sarah, Erin Zirkel and her husband Nick, her three great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and Edward Flood; her brothers, James and John; and her sisters, Grace, Lillian, and Margaret.
Patricia will be remembered for her unwavering faith, devotion, and tremendous strength. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.
A private graveside ceremony for Patricia and Byron will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ
