Orlando Russo

Orlando Russo, 92, of Brick, passed away on June 3, 2021.   He was born in Augusta, Sicily, Italy, on October 18, 1928.  He emigrated to the United States by way of Montreal, Canada with his wife in 1953. He and his wife moved to East Orange, New Jersey.  He worked as an auto mechanic for Gaylin Buick in Union, New Jersey, before opening up his own gas station on 18th Avenue in Irvington known as Hugo’s Sunoco.  In 1975 he moved his family to Livingston, New Jersey until he retired in 1991.  He and his wife spent their retirement years in Ocean County.

Beloved husband of 67 years to the late Gaetana Russo.  Devoted father of Robert, his wife Carolyn, Frank, his wife Judy, Aldo and his wife Maureen.  Cherished grandfather of Jacqueline and David, Marcello and Mia, Orlando and Christopher.  Also survived by many loving siblings.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by the funeral mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10:30am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
