Neil Thomas Ciccone, 91, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025.
Neil was born and raised in Newark, and resided many years in Bloomfield before residing in Roseland. He proudly served in the US Navy on the Destroyer USS Strong (DD-467) during the Korean Conflict, and later was very active with the American Legion Post 185. He was self employed for over 40 years with Modern Uniform Rental Company, and gladly served as an Usher for over 30 years at Notre Dame Church in N. Caldwell during the 8am Sunday Mass. Upon his retirement, Neil was a beloved crossing guard at Jefferson Elementary School in Caldwell, and could be seen on Saturday’s cheering on the James Caldwell High School Chiefs.
Neil loved premium cigars, Horse Racing, Bocci Ball, playing cards at the Legion Hall, sports and music, especially Frank Sinatra, and loved dinners. He especially loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Neil loved to give rather than receive. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
