Nancy M. Wolcott, 83, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully at her home on March 19, 2026 with her loving husband by her side.
Nancy was born in Morgantown, WV but soon moved with her parents to Iselin and then Metuchen NJ, where she grew up and attended Woodbridge High School.
After graduating from Dickinson College with a Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, Nancy embarked on her professional career, utilizing her interpersonal skills and her aptitude for finance. She worked briefly at Lockheed Electronics before joining Western Temporary Services, where one of her jobs was training Santa Claus’ for retail stores during the Christmas holidays. She then traveled throughout the United States as National Marketing Coordinator for Office Supply Order Systems of Livingston NJ. During this time, she met and married her husband, Andrew and later joined him working in his accounting practice. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage, filled with mutual respect, warmth and caring. Nancy was a member of the Administrative Management Society and served a term as its President.
Nancy had a wide variety of interests and thrived on the competition of individual sports. She had a beautiful golf swing which combined power and accuracy. She played regularly at Ashbrook Golf Club and participated in many tournaments. She had several holes-in-one during her lifetime. She also loved tennis, where she brought a strong serve and accurate ground strokes to both competitions and friendly play. Nancy was an avid gardener who took pride in the appearance of her large yard and its colorful gardens. She was a member of the Florham Park Garden Club and served as its treasurer for many years. She and her husband became interested in bicycling and went on many biking trips in Canada and Europe. Nancy was a woman with strong religious faith and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Verona.
Those who knew Nancy will remember her as possessing both a strong will and a friendly smile. Her kindness and willingness to help those in need were an inspiration to all. Nancy is survived by her husband Andrew, her cousins Paul (Tana) Carlson and John (Lynn) Carlson and her nieces and nephews Richard (Kathy) Carlson, Stanley (Elizabeth) Carlson, Peter (Ellie) Wolcott, Cathrine Wolcott, Kristin (Scott) Edwards, Susan Charron and Janet Charron.
Nancy was pre-deceased by her parents Arthur and Verna Carlson and her brother Robert Carlson.
Visitation will be at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday, March 27th from 4-7 pm. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 28th at Calvary Lutheran Church, 23 South Prospect Street in Verona, followed by the interment at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s name to the Calvary Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
