Nancy Ryan

Nancy Vaccaro Ryan, 66, of Florham Park and Ocean City, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 10, 1958, to parents Anthony and Phyllis Vaccaro, Nancy became a beloved wife of 26 years to Fred Mitchell Ryan and a devoted mother to Lindsay V. Maurer, Kelly (Ryan) Cullen and her husband Michael, Brittany (Ryan) Brodsky and her husband Eric. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Levi Maurer, Ryder, Adeline, and Ella Cullen, as well as Emery and Zoey Brodsky. Nancy was the youngest sister of Kathleen Vaccaro, Phyllis Russo and her husband Joe, and Lorraine Grochala and her husband Gene. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were very dear to her.

Nancy always prioritized her family, ensuring that everyone felt special and loved. She delighted in bringing loved ones together to create magical memories, hosting holiday events, cooking delicious meals, and planning incredible vacations around the world. Her favorite place was the beach near the ocean, where she eagerly awaited summers each year, spending time with family and friends, enjoying sunsets, boat rides, and reading.

Before retiring, Nancy dedicated her career to human resources, focusing on people management and creating positive work environments. Her leadership and talent led her to VP executive committee roles at Novartis Consumer Health, Alpharma, and Valeritas. After working at larger corporations, she founded her own human resources consulting company, Cornerview Associates, serving as CEO. As one of the few women in boardrooms during her career, Nancy was passionate about advancing women in the workplace. She generously shared her expertise, mentoring many young women professionals and volunteering with Dress for Success.

A memorial mass will take place at St. Vincent Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Madison, NJ, on Tuesday, September 17th at 10 am, followed by a repast.
