Michael C. Trifiolis, 72, passed away on November 11, 2025.
Michael was raised in West Orange, where he met his high school sweetheart. A gifted athlete, he was an outstanding baseball player who was inducted into the West Orange Athletic Hall of Fame. He went on to play for Lafayette College and Team USA, and was selected in the Major League Baseball draft three times.
He also proudly served in the National Guard. After graduating from Lafayette, Michael worked full-time while attending Seton Hall Law School at night. Through hard work, he built a successful law practice that he managed and grew for more than 40 years.
Despite his many accomplishments, Michael’s greatest source of pride was always his family — his beloved wife, his three daughters, and his cherished grandchildren.
Michael will be remembered for his great stories, Harley rides with his brother, summers spent in Long Beach Island, attending every sporting event for his daughters and grandchildren and enjoying an ice-cold Rolling Rock. He was an incredible father and husband and will be severely missed.
Beloved husband of 47 years to LouAnn (Salemme) Trifiolis. Devoted father of Danielle Sherrill, her husband Gregory, Kristie Trifiolis, her husband Dan, Dr. Taylor Trifiolis and her husband John. Cherished grandfather of Reagan and Jackson, Chase, and Brady. Dear brother of Brian, his wife Linda, and Jennifer. Also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Michael was pre-deceased by his parents Christopher and Laura Trifiolis.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday, November 14th from 4-7pm. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 11am at St. Vincent Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Madison.
