Michael A. Pico, 80, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 27, 2021.
Michael married the love of his life Catherine over 56 years ago, with whom they raised two boys in Florham Park. He took great pride in teaching them about how to treat people with respect, keep the atmosphere bright with his sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed passing down his love of sports. Michael was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan who loved to talk about his teams with his grandchildren. Above all, Michael’s main passion was his wife, Catherine who were hand in hand to the very end. Michael spent over 35 years in the US Postal System in Florham Park, and later in retirement, many enjoyed his sense of humor and love for socializing at a media company in Fairfield, where he had the bonus of working with his younger son. Later in life Michael took great pride in his four grandchildren. He could always be found at one of their school or sporting events or on the phone with them discussing the prior nights Yankee game. Never one to show pain or fear, he fought his battle to his last breath with pride and dignity. A kind and simple soul who left the world a better place.
