Megan Rose Obituary

Megan A. Rose, 32, of Florham Park, lost her battle to brain cancer on May 15, 2022.  A battle she fought with strength, dignity, and grace. She passed away peacefully in her home, with her parents by her side.

Megan came into this world on February 25, 1990, in Freehold, NJ, moving with her family to Florham Park in 1993.  She graduated from Hanover Park High School in 2008 and in 2012 earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Cum Laude) in Asian Studies from Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois.  Using her talent with the Japanese language, she began her career working for several large Japanese chemical companies, including Kyocera, Mitsui, and Nisso America Inc.

Megan was an avid traveler visiting many cities in the U.S. and Europe.  She had a love of Japan; its culture and language which started as a young child, and she fulfilled a dream to study there in both high school and college.  Megan had a limitless passion for writing, art, Anime, Manga and was a devoted cosplay convention attendee. She found much pride and happiness during these conventions leading panel sessions, performing, and meeting her treasured friends.  Megan had an enthusiasm for soccer, especially Women’s soccer. She fulfilled a bucket list item, in 2019, attending a U.S. Women’s World Cup Soccer match in France.

Megan was the daughter of Jonathan and Donna Rose; sister of Kenneth Rose and his fiancée Christi Westlin; granddaughter of Robert and Carolyn Mikson; niece of Karin Delaney and husband Bill, Linda Mikson-Sikora and husband Rob, and Eric Mikson and wife Jenn; cousin of Kelly Delaney, and Jason Rose and his wife Abby.  Megan was pre-deceased by her grandmother Paula Weissman and her uncle Charles Rose.
