Mary Ann Longo (Caudullo), 90, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 5, 2021.
Mary was born in East Orange and later moved to Essex Avenue in Orange, NJ. As a young woman, she worked in her parents’ dress shop and later for MGM Records. She married Anthony Longo in 1953 and they raised their three children on Maple Street in West Orange. She served as county committee woman and worked as a crossing guard for many years. Mary cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors, always extending a helping hand to anyone in need. Her most cherished role was that of wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Her unconditional love, support and encouragement has carried us all through the joys, challenges and difficulties in life.
Beloved wife of 68 years to Anthony J. Longo. Devoted mother of Anthony A. Longo, his wife Jamie, Camille Araps, her husband Frank, Richard Longo and his wife Rosalie. Cherished grandmother of Cristina Araps, Frank Araps, Jr. and his wife Nicole. Proud great-grandmother of Brendan and Shane. Dear sister of Josephine Rubinetti. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary was pre-deceased by her parents Alfio and Carmella Caudullo, her siblings Angela Monteleone and Angelo Caudullo, and her daughter-in-law Renate Longo.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday from 4-8 pm. Funeral on Friday assembling at the funeral home at 9am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10 am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
