Mary DeLuca Obituary

On December 19, 2020, Mary DeLuca (Galiano), 94 of Madison, NJ, passed away peacefully.  She was born on April 4, 1926, to Salvatore and Filippa Galiano and lived in Newark for many years.

Beloved wife of the late Ralph DeLuca. Devoted and loving mother of the late Ralph, his wife Laura, Randy, his wife Laura, Rory and his wife Gina. Cherished grandmother of Ralph, Laura and her husband Anthony, Mary and her husband Francesco, Gina and her husband Lenny, Raffael, Rory, Mia, Ava & Dante.  Treasured great-grandmother to Ella, Laura, Luigi, Emilia, and Oliver.  She has many loving nieces and nephews and was like a mother to many.

The matriarch of a big and loving family, she always made time for everyone.  Family was the most important thing in the world to Mary. She was known to be an amazing cook with famous meatballs, cookies, and Sunday dinners and served everyone with a big dose of humor, joy, and love.  She was honest, outspoken, and strong while being full of love.  The mold was broken after her.  She was one of a kind.  Everyone who met her admired her love of life and practical common sense.  She lived a long, wonderful life filled with love and family.  She always wore high heels, dressed up with jewelry, and walked everyday she could.  She will be greatly missed and remembered always.

Due to Covid, a private family funeral service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover NJ.
