Marty DeRose

Marty DeRose, 88, of Watchung, formerly of the Ironbound Section of Newark, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023.

Starting at a young age, Marty knew he was going to be a singer, and went on to have a lifetime successful career as a professional singer. His life passion was singing and spending time with his family.

Devoted father of Rose Marie LaChance, Gina Marie DeRose (Michael Finley).  Cherished grandfather of Phillip LaChance, Jr. and Connor LaChance.  Dear brother of Dolores and Minnie.  Also survived by his companion Shirley Leone and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Marty was pre-deceased by his parents Modestino and Mary DeRosa, his former wife Rose Marie Langella, his son-in-law Phillip LaChance, Sr., and many siblings.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park, NJ on Tuesday from 4-7pm. Funeral on Wednesday, assembling at the funeral home at 10am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
