Martin Brian Kelly, “Marty”, 85, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of 59 years to Marilyn (Duym) Kelly. Together they traveled Europe, saw beautiful historic destinations and shared wonderful memories of a long life together. Devoted father of Brian Kelly, his wife Danielle, Jennifer Stephenson, her husband Jerard, and Danny Kelly. Cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn & her fiancé Dan, Amanda, Brian, Abigail, Kyle, Aidan and Timmy.. Dear brother of Marlene Kelly with whom he shared a special bond. He was pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Catherine Kelly. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Born in Gloucester City, England he moved here in 1954 with his family. A graduate of Livingston High School Class of 1957. Marty played on the first LHS Varsity Soccer Team. Graduated from Newark School of Fine & Industrial Arts He Had numerous jobs in Commercial art & advertising before settling at Union Camp Corp as an advertising executive.
Marty enjoyed coaching soccer in the early days of the East Hanover Soccer Club. He ended his coaching career with his undefeated team, The Green Machine. He loved taking his family camping where he shared his passion for the outdoors. He loved fishing with family & friends, especially Fly Fishing in Belize. He was a member of East Jersey Trout Unlimited. Marty became a Life Member and past officer with the Lincoln Park Archers where he enjoyed volunteering and perfecting his shooting form.
Proud of his three children and seven grandchildren was happiest at their activities. He loved being with family and friends. With pride in this country, he served this nation in the Army National Guard and became a naturalized United States citizen.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday, December 3rd from 4-7pm. Funeral on Thursday, December 4th, assembling at the funeral home at 10am, followed by a family eulogy service at 10:30am. Then interment and committal prayer service to followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
