Mario Perillo, 93, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully at his home on December 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Mario was born in Orange NJ. Graduated from Orange High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. Mario worked for Di Girolamo Construction as a union carpenter his whole career representing the International Carpenters Union, Local #1342. Mario retired in 1994 at the age of 62. He had a passion for gardening and collecting sports memorabilia.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Barbara (Salerno) Perillo. Devoted father of Laura Guerci, her husband Rick, Diane Jonas, her husband Bill, and Lisa Perillo. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Howard, her husband Chris, Kristyn Gattuso, her husband Michael, Eric Guerci and his wife Felicia. Proud great-grandfather of Olivia, Aubrey, Brooklyn and Kendall. He is survived by his brother Joseph Perillo and his wife Barbara of Texas. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mario was pre-deceased by his parents Mario and Mary (Vacca) Perillo, brother Michael Perillo, sister Rosemary and beloved dog Gracie.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday, December 16th from 4-7pm. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 17th, 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover.
