Marie Torsiello

Marie Torsiello (Bagarozza), “Marie Bags”, 83, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2021.

Marie was born and raised in the First Ward area of Newark before moving to West Orange, and most recently, East Hanover.  Marie worked many years as a Nail Technician at Le Shoppe where she made ever-lasting friendships with her co-workers.

Marie cherished her family above all else, and she was so proud of her husband, Mike, her three children and six grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to Florida during the winter and spending summer at the Jersey Shore.  She was a fantastic cook and loved to host weekly family gatherings.  Marie also enjoyed shopping and her daily dose of ice cream.  She had a great way of making people laugh, telling stories and she was loved by everyone who knew her.  Her presence was known wherever she was.  She touched the lives of so many with kindness, thoughtfulness and devotion.  Marie will be always loved and greatly missed.

Beloved wife of 65 years to Michael Torsiello.  Devoted mother of Salvatore Torsiello, Carmen Torsiello, his wife Darleene, Michele Lospinoso and her husband Dean.  Cherished grandmother of Michael and Marissa, Jessica and Vincent, Alex and Matthew.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 8:45am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
