Marie Stoddard Obituary

Marie E. Stoddard, 87, of Toms River (formerly East Hanover), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 27, 2024.

She was born in Montclair in 1936 and graduated from Montclair High School. She was pre-deceased by her parents Daniel and Frances Gautieri.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late George McCluskey with whom she shared three devoted children Leslie DeRogatis and her husband Mario, Douglas McCluskey, and Gregory McCluskey and his wife Betsy. She was the grandmother to five loving grandchildren, Matthew, Kelly, Kailynn, Chelsea and Luke, that she absolutely adored.

Later in life, Marie married the late Harold Stoddard. She was a dear step mother to his children Aszani and Amy Stoddard. Step grandmother to Genna, Maureen, and Dan and step great-grandmother to Brenna.

Marie is pre-deceased by her long-time companion Frank Eustace.

She is also the loving sister of Vincent Gautieri and his wife Erica and survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Monday from 4-7pm.  Funeral on Tuesday, assembling at the funeral home at 10am, followed by funeral prayers at 11:00 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
