Maria Goncalves, 73, of East Hanover, passed away on September 17, 2025.
Maria was a devoted wife, mom, mama, and proud Great grandmother. She was brave, strong, loving, kind, funny, and wonderfully silly—a truly beautiful soul. To know her was an honor, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.
She worked tirelessly for her family, always putting her children first. She spoiled her grandchildren with endless love and joy. She was a women who loved to travel the world with her loving husband and family. She also devoted her time to caring for the elderly and helping the church. Her life was a shining example of love, selflessness, and strength.
Beloved wife of 54 years to Antonio L. Goncalves. Devoted mother of Antonio C. Goncalves, his wife Ellyn, Dominick D. Goncalves, his wife Elizabeth, Julia D. Rebolo and her husband Joe. Cherished “Mama” of Shane and Antonio, Angelina and Dominick, Jasmine, Lilyana and Logan. Dear sister of Rosa Goncalves, her husband Jose, Joana Goncalves, Lucy Ferreira and her husband Lino. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Saturday, September 20th from 9am - 11:30am, followed by the committal prayer service and Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover at Noon.
