Maria Esposito (Cutrone), 71, of Whippany, passed away peacefully at her home on June 15th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Devoted mother of TJ Esposito, Vincent Esposito and his wife Jillian. Cherished grandmother of Arya and Luca. Dog-mom to her beloved shih tzus, Petey and Louie. Also survived by her two lifelong friends, Marianne Fiore and Nadine Restaino, Dena-Rose Ucciardino (TJ's partner), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren and friends. Maria was the last surviving of 8 siblings.
Maria was born and raised in Orange, NJ, graduating from Orange High in 1969. She moved to Belleville in the early 80s with her family, and resided there until moving to Whippany in 2000. She worked at Village Supermarkets in Springfield for the Sumas family, enjoying a remarkable 52 year career with the company until her retirement. She also worked in retirement part time for Taylor Management in Whippany.
Maria loved going to work every day and lived life for her children, grandchildren and puppies. She will be greatly missed by many.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday from 3-7pm. A memorial mass will be held at St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church, 1050 Littleton Rd, Parsippany on Friday at 9:30am.
In lieu of flowers, as there will be no funeral/cemetery, donations can be made in Maria’s name to Eleventh Hour Animal Rescue of Morris County or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
