Luis (Louis) E. Rivera, 59, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2022.
Louis (and affectionately known as Lu, Louie, Louie-Blue) lived life to the fullest always. He relished the little things in life whether it was a beautiful sunset, a day at the beach or watching a football game on a Sunday afternoon, but what he cherished the most was the time he spent with his family who he loved and adored beyond anything. He was a devoted husband and selfless, loving father to his children and his highest goal in life was to make sure they were always well cared for and loved. Everyone who knew him felt his big heart and his easygoing nature. He had a warmth that made anyone he met feel like they had always known him and a sense of humor that never failed to make you laugh.
The past two and a half years for him were nothing short of challenging, but there was never a time, no matter what he had to endure, that he gave up hope. He was such an inspiration to everyone and no matter how he felt that day, it seldom drained his optimistic spirit. He will be incredibly missed.
Beloved husband of Lisa M. (DeCapua) Centanni. Devoted father of Natalia, Joelle, Angelo, Alicia, Julian, Nicolas, Michael and Luca. Cherished grandfather of Gionni, Mina and Laila. Dear brother of Frances Rogazzo and Lisa McCabe. Loving uncle to Raquel Souza and Natalie McCabe as well as other loved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Luis was pre-deceased by his parents Phyllis & Luis E. Rivera, Sr., and his sister Linda Meyers.
