Lois I. Fallon (Ibsen) passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Morristown, NJ just shy of her 90th birthday. She was born in Orange, NJ and lived in East Orange, NJ until her marriage. Since 1958, she has been a proud resident of East Hanover, NJ.
Family was the center of Lois’s life. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow, cheering them on at their various activities and events throughout the years. Her kindness and compassion touched everyone she met. The warmth of her presence endures, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lois was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of East Hanover for over 50 years, where she built lasting friendships and found great joy in her faith community. Following the church’s closing in June, 2024, she continued her spiritual journey as a member of Kitchell Presbyterian Church. Lois was also a long-time member of the East Hanover Senior Citizens.
Devoted mother of Colleen Waselik, her husband Jim, and Linda Eveland. Cherished grandmother of Matt, Scott, Dana, her husband Giuseppe, Lauren and Ryan, Samantha, Sarah and Justin. Proud great-grandmother of Layla and Luciano. Dear sister of Kathy Ryan. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lois was pre-deceased by her husband Frank Fallon, her son Peter Fallon, her parents Guy and Loretta Ibsen, and her sister Eleanor O’Brien.
Her wings were ready but our hearts were not. We find solace in knowing that she is at peace and will take her place watching over us until we meet again.
“Someday, when fades the golden sun, Beneath the rosy-tinted west, My blessed Lord will say, “Well done!”, And I shall enter into rest.”
