Judith E Plecas

Judith E. Plecas, “Judy”, 81, formerly of Montclair, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024. 

After growing up in Belleville, NJ Judy held several positions in computer programming and then moved on to work in the furniture industry – a lifelong passion of hers.  Judy was the person you could always count on when you needed help.  Whether it was shopping, wrapping gifts, taking her mother to the doctor’s office, or planning an event Judy was always deeply involved and in charge. She made everybody a better person, leading by example.    

Beloved wife of 36 years to Ron Plecas.  Dear sister of William Haley, Jr., his wife Ellen, Sandy Chiazzo and her husband Angelo.  Cherished aunt of Doris Babat, Pamela Bruns, Amy Vitaletti, Roberto Chiazzo and Lori Gatti.  Also survived by many loving great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. 

Judy was pre-deceased by her parents William and Doris Haley. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday from 4-7pm.  Funeral on Friday, assembling at the funeral home at 8:45am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
