Joseph Rizzolo Obituary

Joseph Rizzolo, 82, of Toms River, formerly of Belleville, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026.

Joseph spent most of his career as a salesman with AB Electric, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and friendly manner. He also had a lifelong love of golf, spending many years playing at Hendricks Field Golf Course in Belleville and later enjoying courses throughout the Toms River area. He found great joy in spending time at the beach and swimming in the ocean.

He was the devoted father of Michelle Rafanelli and her husband, Joseph, and Joseph Rizzolo and his wife, Gina. He was the cherished grandfather of Nick Rafanelli and his wife, Becca; Christina Rafanelli and her fiancé, Jordan Johnson; and Dominic and Carmine Rizzolo. He is also survived by his dear brothers, James, Thomas, and Anthony Rizzolo.

Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara; his parents, Joseph and Fay Rizzolo; and his brother, Richard Rizzolo.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park, on Friday, July 31, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A committal prayer service will follow, with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover at 1:00 p.m.

Joseph will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, his enjoyment of golf and the Jersey Shore, and the many friendships he made throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
