Joseph "Saverio" Martorana

Joseph “Saverio” Martorana, 86, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on March 24, 2020.  Saverio was born and raised in Camporeale, Italy, a small town outside of Palermo, prior to moving to the US and eventually residing in East Hanover, NJ, his home for over 40 years.  He was known for his incredible smile, his kindness, patience, quick wit and sense of humor.  He served in the Italian Army, was highly respected and revered in the garment industry for over 50 years. 

Beloved husband of 54 years to Lucia Martorana (Gallo).  Devoted father of Oriana Shea, her husband Michael, Sabrina Maugeri and her husband Michael.  Cherished grandfather of Isabella, Sophia and Evan.  Dear brother of Vincenzina Gambino and brother-in-law to Theresa Chen and Concetta Frazzita.  He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and “The Friends (of over 60 years!)”.  Saverio is pre-deceased by his parents Domenico & Palma and his siblings Gioacchino & Elisa.
