Joseph Cuozzo, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 15, 2024.
Joe was born in Newark NJ and also lived in Irvington, East Hanover and Berkeley Heights. A cook in the army and a supervisor at the Star Ledger, Joe was also a long time member of the Florham Park Elks Lodge serving as a trustee for many years.
At the lodge, he was keen on bocce and having a smoke. He also enjoyed the Yankees. He was known to sing a tune or two, having formed a doo wop band with his brothers in his youth and turning his family onto great music. Another highlight was coaching his youngest sons baseball team to the championship when the latter was in 6th grade. Father of Mark, his wife Valerie, Michele, Joseph, Michael and his wife Alexa. Loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Rosie. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joseph was pre-deceased by his wife Sally, his parents Michael and Grace, and his brothers Anthony and Philip.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday from 10am-12pm, immediately followed by family speakers. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover
