Joseph Carnevale

Joseph Carnevale, 92, of East Hanover, formerly of East Orange, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was born and raised in East Orange before moving to East Hanover in 1988.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1956.

Joe lived in East Hanover for over 35 years before retiring in 1991.  Joe enjoyed his Sunday afternoon gravy and “macaroni & meatballs” with his wife and children along with his trips to Atlantic City and Mt. Airy.

Beloved husband of 68 years to Marie (Zarillo) Carnevale.  Devoted father of Vicki Satriano, her husband Anthony, Joseph Carnevale, his wife Margaret, Teresa Cross and her husband David.  Cherished grandfather of Vincent, his fiancé Christina, and Alyssa, Joseph, Rocco, Theresa, her husband Nick, and Carmen, Anthony, his partner Tyler, Maria and her husband Ronnie.  Proud great-grandfather of Nicolette.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joseph was pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Victoria, and his siblings Marion Carnevale, Samuel Carnevale, Domenico Carnevale and Claire Capobianco. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday from 4-7pm.  Funeral on Wednesday, assembling at the funeral home at 9:30am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in E. Hanover at 10:30am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover.
