John Rocco, 88, of East Hanover, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on November 2, 2021.
John was a proud veteran who served his country during the Korean War with the United States Marine Corps from October 1951 to October 1954. John was a carpenter by trade and worked out of the Carpenters Union Local 253 primarily with DeLorenzo Construction, but retired with Andon Construction. He enjoyed spending time at the Meadowlands Racetrack with his friends but most importantly spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Rose M. (Orefice) Rocco. Devoted father of Charles Rocco, his wife Lisa, Celeste Calabro, her husband Joseph, JoAnn Cataldo and her husband John. Cherished grandfather of Nicole and Michael Rocco, Joseph Calabro, Dominique Calabro and her fiance Michael DeVizio, John Cataldo and his fiancee Amanda Algieri, Anthony and Brianna Cataldo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John is pre-deceased by his parents Celeste and Vera Rocco and his sisters Dorothy Duffy and Lillian Cassella.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday from 2-6pm.
