James McArdle

James M. McArdle, 85, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2022.  

Beloved husband of 60 years to Arleen (Fay) McArdle.  Devoted father of Kevin McArdle, Brian McArdle, his wife Michelle, Heather Johnson and her husband Rick.  Cherished grandfather of Caitlin, Lindsey, Brielle, Brighid, Logan and Aiden.  Dear brother of Bernard McArdle and his wife Audrey.  Loving uncle of Timothy McArdle and his wife Pam.  

James "Jim" was born in Jersey City, New Jersey.  He grew up in Keansburg, New Jersey where he attended Red Bank Catholic High School.  He served in the United States Army and then began working full time.  While putting himself through night school, he worked full time at the A&P corporate offices where he met his loving wife of 60 years, Arleen. They raised their family in East Hanover, New Jersey. He went on to spend most of his career in finance at Honeywell Corporation in Morris Township, New Jersey before retiring after 30 years of service.  He received a graduate degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He was an active member of Holy Family parish in Florham Park, New Jersey for over 40 years.  He enjoyed spending time at his beach house with family and friends.    

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday from 3-6pm.  Funeral on Friday assembling at the funeral home at 9amfollowed by the funeral mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
