Gunda “Goldie” Meier, 97, formerly of Florham Park, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026.
Gunda was raised in Irvington NJ, she settled in Florham Park, where she resided for 60 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Meier for 70 Years. She was the dear sister of the late Erna (Ann) Aldred, with whom she spent many days roaming the malls of north Jersey. She also spent many summers at the Jersey shore with her family. She was a parishioner of Long Hill Chapel in Chatham township. The last years of her life were enjoyed at Colonial Manor Assisted Living in Hackettstown NJ.
Devoted mother of Bart Charles Meier, his wife Eloise, Jeff Paul Meier and his wife Shirley. Cherished grandmother of Paul, Kaitlyn and Emily.
“As much as this loss feels to us here on Earth, Heaven has gained a beautiful soul, an Angel in God’s Kingdom. Our family has been truly blessed to have had her in our lives.
May she rest peacefully in the Lord’s loving hands”
The committal prayer service and inurnment will be held on Thursday, August 6th, 12pm, at Hollywood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Union.
