Giuseppe Giacomarra, 89, of Cedar Knolls, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2023.
He was born and raised in Castellana Sicula, Sicily. After marrying his wife they immigrated to America with their two young daughters for a better opportunity.
He was a kind and gentle person, always putting his family first. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years Maria Pia (Gagliardo) Giacomarra. Also survived by him are his daughters, Ines Virga, her husband Carlo, and Lina Pisciotta and her husband, Carlo. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren Simona, Giulia, Charles Joseph and Giancarlo, who were his pride and joy. Lastly, he is survived by his brother, Orazio Giacomarra, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral on Thursday, assembling at the funeral home at 9am, followed by the funeral mass at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church in Cedar Knolls at 10am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
