Giacomo Gesualdo, 91, of Livingston, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Giacomo originally owned a bakery in Alberona, Italy, supplying bread to their village. He immigrated here to the United States of America in 1973 and began his journey as a landscaper and paving contractor, doing work for many municipalities and individuals. His great passion was his garden. He was an expert at making things grow. Originally an arborist in Italy, he was the person everyone sought advice from. He lived to provide for his family.
Beloved husband of the late Lucietta Gesualdo. Devoted father of Giovanni, his wife Bridget, Pietro, his wife Leonarda, Antonio and his wife Beatrice. Cherished grandfather of Giacomo, his wife Angela, Angelo and Giovanni, Lucia, her husband Nicola, Maria, Gianna and Jacqueline, Giacomo, his fiancé Grace, Lucienne and Antonio. Proud great-grandfather of Francesca, Valentina, Salvatore, Olivia, Nicolino and Carmelina.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Funeral on Thursday, assembling at the funeral home at 9am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
