George Richard Dellecker Paley / August 2, 1950 – September 21, 2025
George Richard Dellecker Paley, 75, of Kingwood, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Brunswick to George Paley Sr. and Virginia (Dellecker) Paley, George grew up in Piscataway and later moved to South Plainfield before settling in Kingwood in 2005.
In 1984, he married the love of his life, Judith (Yannazzo) Paley, with whom he shared over 41 wonderful years and a blended family.
George had a passion for oil painting and often gifted his finished pieces to family and friends. He enjoyed canoeing, rafting, and fresh water fishing on the Delaware River, as well as boating and salt water fishing on Barnegat Bay. His summers spent at the beach were filled with swimming, crabbing, bbq's and laughter with loved ones.
In 1967, George enlisted in the United States Army, where he served with distinction. He was first stationed in Germany and later volunteered for Vietnam, serving as a communications specialist until his honorable discharge in 1970 as a Buck Sergeant (E5).
George will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Beloved husband of Judith “Judy” Paley. Devoted father of George Paley, Thomas Paley, his wife Jennifer, Brett Bartman, his wife Virginia, Erick Paley and his wife Deirdre. Cherished grandfather of Irish, Kaitlyn, Jaryd, Jaryn, Shane, Donovan, Ashlyn, Gavin, Raphaella and Brooks. Proud great-grandfather of Giuliano, Adalyn and Madailin. George was also survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be dearly missed for his humor, generosity, and his favorite saying: “Don’t tell your mother.”
